A table with a view: the terrace at La Pilastra
La Pilastra is a restaurant with a view over the Tajo gorge, beside Mirador de Aldehuela at the old-town end of Puente Nuevo. Its terrace looks down into the gorge and across to the Serranía; the exact view depends on the table. Ask for the terrace when you book and the team will tell you what is available.

What you see from the terrace
The terrace sits on the edge of the gorge, on the La Ciudad side of town. Beyond the railing the Guadalevín drops away and the hills of the Serranía de Ronda fill the horizon. It is the same balcony over the gorge you get from Mirador de Aldehuela next door, only here you take it in from your table.
Not every table frames the view the same way: depending on where you sit you see more of the gorge, the hills or the town. If you have a particular shot or a railing-side table in mind, say so when you book. It cannot always be done, but it helps the team plan.

How to get a table outside
Terrace tables are allocated service by service, depending on bookings and the weather, so you request the terrace rather than reserve a specific table. Get in touch early, say you would like to sit outside and be ready for an indoor table if the terrace is full. Booking a table explains what to include in your message.
By day the landscape takes over: the depth of the gorge and the green of the Serranía. After dark it is the floodlit bridge and town that set the mood. If you are torn between lunch and dinner, ask the team which suits your date.

If it rains, blows or turns cold
When the weather rules out eating outside, there is a bright indoor dining room with large windows and the same menu. If your plans hinge on the terrace, check by phone or WhatsApp on the day before you set off.

Can I reserve a specific terrace table?
You can ask for the terrace, but tables are allocated according to bookings and the weather for that service. The team will confirm whether there is room outside when they reply.
What if it rains on the day of my booking?
Ask the team by phone or WhatsApp: the indoor dining room serves the same menu, or you can move to another day if you prefer.
Can you see Puente Nuevo from every table?
No. The angle changes from one table to another. If the bridge matters to you, mention it when you book.
